ALHomecare – Competition Terms and Conditions

The prize consists of:

2 Return flights from Dublin to Rome in June
2 Nights stay in a 4* Hotel with breakfast included for 2 adults
2 Tickets to the Colosseum

Prize terms and conditions:

Entrants must be aged 18 years or over at the date of entry. ALHomecare Limited reserves the right to require proof of age and evidence to verify the identity of an entrant at any time.
The Promoter of the Prize draw is Affordable Live-in Homecare Limited, 16 Railway Place, High Street, Turners Cross, Cork, Ireland (referred to herein as “ALHomecare”).

By entering this Prize draw:

a) You, the entrant, represent and warrant that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, that you are eligible to participate in the Prize draw, and that all of the information provided as part of your entry is accurate, does not violate any third party’s legal rights (including data privacy rights) or any applicable laws.
b) You, the entrant, are available to fly on the specified dates and are responsible to ensure that you hold a current valid passport.
c) You, the entrant, agree to be bound by the ALHomecare’s interpretation of these Terms & Conditions which is final in all matters relating to the Prize draw.
d) ALHomecare is entitled at its sole discretion to disqualify entrants or withdraw the Prize if they become aware of any possible dishonesty or fraud or breach of these Terms & Conditions.

To be in with a chance to win this fabulous weekend for two in Rome this coming June, all you have to do is one of the following two things. If you do the two things then we will put your name into the draw two times, therefore doubling your chance of winning this fantastic prize.

The two things:

1. Recommend another family to ALHomecare and they hire one our carers between the 5th of February and the 30th of May 2024.

Note: We ask every family where they heard about us in our application form and every month in our family newsletter we ask families if they were recommended to us by another family or if they recommended another family to us. So this should hopefully ensure that any successful referrals you make are taken note of by ALHomecare. You may also contact us yourself at any time at manager@alhomecare.ie and inform us about any referrals that you’ve made that you know yourself resulted in a placement during this competition period i.e. February 5th to May 30th 2024.

2. Write a testimonial (or do an interview) about your experience of ALHomecare’s service (minimum 350 words) and include a photo of yourself and give ALHomecare permission to publish your testimonial/interview and photo on our website, social media, newspaper or magazine or news media website such as irishtimes.com or independent.ie   

The winner of the Prize draw will be chosen at random from all valid entries received by the Closing Date (23:59pm Tuesday 30th of May 2024).
There is no cash value or alternative to the Prize which is non-transferable.  
The Prize winner may be required to take part in publicity accompanying or resulting from this competition.
The winner’s full name may be published on various sources at the discretion of ALHomecare. The winners may be required to supply a photograph for publication and/or take part in further promotional activities related to the Prize draw. By entering, you agree to your information being used for this purpose.
Employees and contractors of ALHomecare, their representatives and immediate family members are excluded from participating in the competition. For these purposes “immediate family members” include a spouse, partner, child, step- child, grandchild, brother, step brother, sister, step sister, parent, step parent or legal guardian.
If an entrant changes their mind after entering the Prize draw and wishes to withdraw their entry they can do so at any time by contacting manager@alhomecare.ie. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time and your contact details will be removed from the prize draw. Note this means that you will no longer be eligible to participate in the prize draw
ALHomecare requires the name, email and contact number of entrants in order to identify the winner and to distribute the Prize. Entrants should not submit any other personal data other than that requested to be provided. These details will be retained securely only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which we collected. The information you provide will be used by the ALHomecare in connection with the Prize draw and to deal with any queries and in accordance with the ALHomecare Privacy Statement.
The use of a false name or address will disqualify the entrant from the Free Prize Draw.
The winner of the Free Prize Draw will be notified by ALHomecare via email and/or text no later than 2 days after the Closing Date and their full name and county will be published with 24 hours on our Facebook page once they have confirmed via email/text that they accept the prize.
The winner must confirm receipt of notification within 3 days in order to claim the Prize following which ALHomecare will confirm the Prize delivery procedure. Failure to confirm receipt of notification within the stated time will result in disqualification and another winner being selected.
ALHomecare reserves the right at its sole discretion to alter or substitute the Prize with any items of equal or greater value for any reason and without notification.
The decision of the ALHomecare shall be final and no correspondence shall be entered into in that regard.
ALHomecare reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Prize draw at any time.
To the extent permitted by law, ALHomecare accepts no liability for any loss suffered by you in relation to this competition. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions shall exclude the liability of ALHomecare for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.
The Prize draw and these Terms & Conditions are governed by Irish Law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts to settle any disputes which may arise out of or in connection with the Free Prize Draw and/or these Terms and Conditions.
Any disclaimer of liability by ALHomecare under these Terms and Conditions is enforceable to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Each of the provisions of these Terms and Conditions is severable and if any such provision is held by any court or other competent authority to be illegal, void or unenforceable in whole or in part, the legality, validity and enforce-ability of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall not be affected or impaired.
You must take a photo of yourself with the Colosseum in the background while holding the ALHomecare logo and give us permission to use that photo for further promotional events as we see fit.
ALHomecare will not be responsible for any charges made to the hotel room. All other costs is the sole responsibility of the winner and should be settled in full at the end of their stay.
